Resources: Wonderfully Made

These resources can help you grow in your understanding of the human body, gender, and sexuality as they provide a biblical lens through which to view these complex topics.

Though we don’t share every perspective with each author in its entirety, their insights are valuable and contribute to a more robust understanding of how to passionately follow Jesus in all aspects of our lives, including our sexuality.

COURSES AND SUPPORT GROUPS

LGBTQ+ Parent Support Group

One of our most-requested resources at WestGate Church is support for Christian parents to help them navigate the journey of raising and walking alongside their LGBTQ child.  This support group, led and moderated by teaching pastor David Tieche, is a safe space where you’ll learn practical ways to love your LGBTQ child.

the healing path course

None of us escapes the heartache and disappointments of life.  One area in our world where this pain is pronounced is in the area of sexuality.  And in response to the pain and confusion, sometimes we develop coping mechanisms to protect us that are ineffective and, ironically, end up hurting us and those we love.

Join David Alvarez, pastor and founder of The Healing Path Ministries for a 7-week course on pursuing wholeness.  This group is a safe place to help you draw nearer to God as we seek healing from past wounds and step into a future characterized by relational and emotional wholeness.

HOPE GROUP

A support group for adult female survivors of childhood sexual abuse

Are you a woman who experienced sexual abuse in your childhood? You’re not alone! Come and engage in the healing process with a facilitator and a safe environment. Please be advised this is a support group, not group therapy, and is intended only for adult women who have personally experienced childhood sexual abuse.

If you have questions or inquiries, please feel free to email the group facilitator, Rebecca Miller, at hopegroup@westgatechurch.org
