For many of us, even though the New Year literally just started, we’re already feeling overwhelmed, behind, and stretched thin. And yet, for all of us, there is an invitation to hear God’s invitation to “stand at the crossroads and look,” examining what’s filling our calendars—and what it’s doing to our souls. Through Jeremiah’s ancient promise and Jesus’ words in Matthew 11, we’re invited to trade frantic striving for trust, eliminate one non-essential, and take one next step toward a life moving at God’s pace.
