Holy Ordinary | The Practice of Radical Welcome | November 30, 2025

Sermon Description:

The story of Advent - the birth of Jesus - is among other things a story about how God often hides holy gifts inside the most ordinary moments. In this first week, we reexamine the Christmas story through the lens of first-century hospitality, and in the process discover an unnamed relative whose quiet act of courage shaped the birthplace of Jesus. The story shows us how the idea of radical welcome is at the heart of Christ’s arrival.  And the story invites us to make room in our homes, schedules, and hearts just as Christ has made room for us.

SPEAKERS:

Jay Kim (Saratoga), David Tieche (South Hills)

Bible Passage(s):
