Becoming a member of our church family
When we talk about “membership” at WestGate, we’re talking about becoming a member of a family.
In Ephesians 2, the writer Paul says this:
You are no longer foreigners and strangers but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. - Ephesians 2:19-20 NIV
Members of a healthy family contribute to the good of the family; they build and create something meaningful together.
That’s our hope and prayer for you; that you would find a home here, a family to belong to, a family to journey alongside as we learn and live the way of Jesus together.
Here's what you can expect:
At Start Here, you will explore what it means to learn and live the way of Jesus here at WestGate Church, by loving God, loving one another, and loving our neighbor.
We will invite you to join us for Become Family - a three-week in-person course where we will dig deeper into what discipleship to Jesus is, experience table groups led by pastoral hosts who will listen to your story, and celebrate and commission you as you discern your next step within the life of our church family.
