Glenn and Grace Ayala

Glen and Grace Ayala lead Mt. Moriah Outreach Camp in Malaybalay. This facility is a community hub for not only feeding programs and education, but for Bible studies and a local church as well. During COVID, that whole model had to switch. Although the feeding programs continued, “church” was pushed out and down to the local community level, with house churches and small discipleship groups doing all the heavy lifting. The focus then became on training and equipping local leaders. What started out as a determined and devoted group of 20 local leaders grew to more than 100, and continues to climb. On top of all of their work, Glen and Grace also help with disaster relief (food, water, shelter and spiritual counseling) efforts after typhoons that often hit their island.

PRAYER REQUESTS + FUTURE GOALS

Most of the people in their ministry have not finished high school (and some, not even elementary) so it’s the goal to help provide structured training and education to help them get their educational certificates, so they can go on to enroll in Bible seminaries to be equipped as leaders, pastors, church planters, and missionaries. They also want to keep their focus on identifying and strengthening young people who show skill and passion for Jesus.

Anchor Verse of 2021

Exodus 36:1 “...every skilled person to whom the LORD has given skill and ability...are to do the work just as the LORD has commanded.”
