Each icon lights up as you take steps in your faith journey — things we can celebrate together! Here’s how each one comes alive:
Commit
This lights up when you’ve taken the step of baptism and we’ve recorded that date in our system. (We celebrate this big moment with you!)Gather
Your Gather icon glows when you’ve been actively participating in Sunday services — whether that’s attending, serving, or checking in your kids — at least 3 times in the past 8 weeks. We track this through check-ins in any of these ways:Adult check-in on Sundays via (My Events + News)
Sunday kids check-in
Serve Team check-in
Grow
This lights up when you’ve taken time to reflect on your inner life with Jesus through a simple form submission — at least once in the past 3 months.
It’s our way of celebrating your deeper walk with Jesus through prayer, scripture and reflection.Connect
You’ll see this light up when you’re actively part of a Life Group. If your name is on the roster of a group that’s currently meeting, this icon stays lit.Serve
This one lights up when you’ve been serving regularly in the life of the church — either by:Checking in for a Serve Team at least twice in 8 weeks, or
Leading an active Life Group.
Give
Your Give icon lights up when you’re participating financially through our One Fund — whether you’re just starting to give or you’re giving consistently.
It activates if any of these apply:You’ve given for the first time
You’ve made 4 or more gifts in the past 16 weeks
You’ve given $500 or more in the past 16 weeks
You’ve given $5,000 or more in the past 12 months
For couples, giving is combined — both adults in the household will see this icon light up.
Invite
This icon glows when you’re being intentional about living an invitational life - seeing, praying for, and inviting others - by sharing who you’re praying for - through a simple form submission — at least once in the past 3 months. -
We’re more passionate than ever about helping you learn and live the way of Jesus in everyday, ordinary life. This updated app helps you discover your news, events, and spiritual next steps — all in one place.

Planning Center is a cloud-based service WestGate Church has been using for many years. Through both your computer and your smart devices, this cloud-based service allows members of our church family access to many aspects of church life, including serving, giving, life groups, prayer requests, check-ins, personal info, family info, weekly sermons, and event registration & sign-ups. All information is kept private and secure.

A current and accurate database of the people who call WestGate Church “home” will allow us to provide pastoral care and follow up, communicate general and specific information, and keep you updated on various aspects of church life, including events, life groups, check-ins, serving opportunities, and giving. Again, all information is kept secure and private.

When someone turns 18, Planning Center treats them as their own adult profile. This ensures that each person can manage their own contact info, serving schedules, and giving. You’ll still be connected through family relationships, just not under the same household listing.
