Wonder — Week 2
It’s an age old question: if God is really all-powerful, and His Will is as firm as iron, then why should I do anything? It’s gonna happen anyway, with or without me, right? Or - to take the opposite approach - if everything is dependent on me, then how can I possibly get up out of bed in the morning knowing that everything in the Universe hinges on me making the right decision. In this sermon, campus pastor Mark Averill unpacks some of the Bible’s more nuanced teachings that hold God’s sovereignty and man’s moral responsibility together in tension. And surprisingly, we find that it’s in this tension that is the only place we can find comfort and peace.
