Matthew Season 1 - Week 7
One of the central themes in the Gospel of Matthew is the idea of “Kingdom.” Matthew uses the phrase more than 50 times in his gospel. To understand Jesus and his teachings, we have to understand this concept, but because we live in a democracy, the idea of a “king” challenges and confronts modern people. But the invitation of Jesus is to be the people who follow a King, and embody His values in a world that desperately needs it.
