Hebrews — Week 1
Hebrews is a book of tensions. Jesus is God and yet man. God is personal and yet the great creator and sustainer of the universe. God is forgiving and loving and yet is a God that will exact judgement at some time in our future. Faith is even a tension: it's being sure of something that you HOPE for. The great challenge for our Western minds is to live inside these tensions and paradoxes.
