I am married with four children and have been attending WestGate since 1995. I came to attend WestGate through my fiancée at the time (my wife now). We chose WestGate because it was a church that was reaching the community around it for Christ.

My parents became followers of Christ just before I was born so I had the benefit of growing up in a home that wanted to grow in their knowledge of God. High School was a turning point for me personally where I decided to fully dedicate myself to living the life Christ wanted me to. Since that decision, I have grown closer to God with the help of many people around me encouraging me to press on.

Recently, I have grown personally from my time studying Knowledge of the Holy, by A.W. Tozer. Tozer does a good job of directing the reader to think about God and his attributes. It showed me how incorrect some of my views of God are. The book has been a good opportunity to know God better and has shaped how I think about Him.
