Vitals

Jeff met his wife Polly at church and they were married in 1985. They came to WestGate with their daughter Lauren in December of 1993 when WestGate was founded. They are now are a family of 4 with the addition of Lindsey in 1994. Jeff has worked in the electronic component distribution business for 20+ years. He has served two stints on the Elder Board and led the Men’s Ministry program for 4 years.


A Few of My Favorite Things
Music
Country, 60’s & 70’s, most “un plugged” acoustic stuff. “I am a late adopter, I just got an IPod, and so I am expanding my library of music.” My girls are totally into theater so our house is immersed in show tunes….surprisingly, many of them I actually like!

Sports
Golf, “Golf is the perfect game, you are on your own and you must accept adversity and success within minutes. Not only does the game build character, but it also reveals it.” Snow Skiing, “I love to ski with Polly, Lauren, and Lindsey, we have a blast.” “Powder skiing has to be as close to heaven as we can get on this earth.” Riding SeaDoos, “We go boating and ride Seadoos as a family in the summer at a remote lake, a great place to get away.” Running, “I enjoy running but my body doesn’t agree with it as much as when I was younger, but I still try to run two or three times a week.”

Movies
“Brave Heart; Remember the Titans, Patriot, various classics and musicals with Polly and the girls.

Books
Knowledge of the Holy, Greatest Game Ever Played, Good to Great, Secrets of the Vine, Unstoppable Force, and My Utmost for His Highest.

What Ifs?
What if you were not on the Elder Board?
“I would serve in some other capacity, Men’s Ministry? a greeter? “If I had the talent, ski Instructor in the winter, teach golf in the summer.”
