Vitals
Dana was born in Oklahoma, but grew up mainly in Texas, which she still
considers home (Texas stays in your blood). She trusted in Christ
as her Savior at the age of 12 and has loved her journey with Him ever
since. Some of her favorite memories of her teenage years include
mission trips to Mexico and other youth activities at church.
She received her Bachelors of Business Administration degree from North
Texas State University but has mainly used her business expertise to
keep her household in order as God has led her to a different emphasis
in life. Mainly being the full-time mom to 2 growing boys, Josh
and Clay who are now fully grown but not out of the house!!
She first met her wonderful husband Steve when they attended the same
Jr. High school but they did not have a lot of the same interests at
the time so he barely knew her name.

God brought them together on
a long bus ride from Colorado to Texas where they had been involved in
leadership at a Young Life ski camp. Steve remembered her name
after that and they will have been married for 25 years in 2005.
Dana has always loved being involved in ministry and God has given her
many opportunities through Young Life, youth and young adult
ministries, teaching women’s Bible studies and retreats, and many other
ways of serving along side Steve. She truly feels that God has
blessed her.
A Few of my Favorite Things
Reading – You can find her nose buried in a book whenever there
is free time available. Some of her favorite authors include
Phillip Yancey, Erwin McMannus, and Mary Higgins Clark (suspense
fiction).
Outdoors – Dana is a sun freak. She loves to snow and
water ski, take walks, bike rides, play tennis and read while sitting
in the sun.
Sports – She loves to watch sports and ESPN. Her favorite
sport is football and she really understands it!! Of course, her
favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys.
Crafts – Oops! Not something she can do!!
What Ifs?
What if you weren't in ministry?
"It’s hard to even think about that because that is what I love, but
sitting in the sun at the beach with a good book sounds good to me.”
What if you could spend time with any famous historical person?
“I love biblical characters and would love to get all the inside info
on someone like Joseph. I would love to ask questions like, “How
many times did you cry and scream while you were in prison?”
