Small groups at WestGate are also known as Core Life Groups and Life Groups. We all wanna go where everyone knows our name, our story, and what we’ve got going on. Core + Life Groups are a place to relax and “do life together”, connect with God’s word, grow in relationships, and serve the community.

Core Life Groups take you to the “core” of who we are at WestGate – together, becoming like Jesus, growing in our love of God, our neighbor, and one another. We call this Six40 Discipleship [Luke 6:40]. The groups are just 9-weeks, but often groups will stay together and become a new Life Group. We are so committed to Six40 Discipleship, that we encourage everybody to start with a Core Life Group before jumping into a Life Group.

Life Groups give you a place to cultivate friendships and to practice living out being a Six40 Disciple. We encourage you to start with Explore + Discovery and then a Core Life Group before getting into a Life Group – get to know us, know what we’re about, and where we’re going first.

“I kept hearing about Explore, Discovery, and Core Life Groups, but was reluctant to attend because I thought the process was simply to promote the WestGate programs and agenda.
