LOVE. LIVE. SERVE.
WestGate Church is passionate about serving those in need, and sharing Jesus with our community and the World.
Through our long-standing partnerships with local and international organizations, we hope to truly make a difference in our world—both locally and globally.
Every year, WestGate shutters its doors for an entire weekend and takes church out into the community to serve at various high-impact service projects. We call this Beautiful Day. Last year, more than 2300 people donated more than 30,000 man hours at 23 different service projects across San Jose.
Schools deeply matter to communities. And so they matter to us. School Impact is a team of volunteers whose sole goal is to build strong, ongoing, positive relationships with public schools, to provide support and encouragement to educators and to serve the kids in our local schools.
Did you know that about 350 people receive food each month through the food pantry at our South Hills Campus? We work in coordination with Second Harvest Food Bank on the third Wednesday of each month to help distribute food to those who need it.
Did you know that WestGate offers adult English as a second language (ESL) courses? Whether you’re just starting or want to brush up, we have spots for beginners, intermediate and advanced.
Kids Club is an after-school outreach program at Almaden and Anderson Elementary Schools. Since 2006 Kids Club has reached hundreds of kids with the love of God through fun, exciting, and Biblically-based curriculum. Contact us for more information.

Every year, WestGate sends 6-10 teams of people to serve alongside our supported missionaries and partner organizations that operate in dozens of nations on nearly every continent (Sorry Antartica!). We preach the Gospel, help alleviate poverty, build fresh water wells, train leaders and participate in building projects.
WestGate partners with dozens of amazing individuals and organizations across the globe and right here in the Bay Area. To find out more about the profound and transformative work these extended members of the WestGate Church family are doing, please check out our latest Compassion Immersion Booklet:
WestGate Water is our grassroots effort to collect recyclables during our weekend gatherings, crush them, sort them, turn them in for their CRV value. We use the money to build clean-water wells for people around the world. In the past three years, WestGate Water has redeemed 18.8 tons of plastic and 5 tons of aluminum, raising more than $160,000 and has fully funded 34 water projects, providing water to 32,000 people.
LOUD stands for Living Out Unselfish Devotion, and it's our way of giving generously beyond our own walls to provide care for the people of our city and for those in need around the globe. One hundred percent of all money pledged to LOUD will go to organizations who educate, feed, clothe, provide shelter, heal, protect, comfort, provide hope and promote human flourishing.
